Tomahawk Hills Neighborhood & School Information
Tomahawk Hills is in northwest Omaha, located around 90th and Fort. You’ll notice the homes are perfect for growing families and first-time homebuyers. Typical for homes built in the ‘60s you’ll see ranch, split-level, multi- and tri-level layouts.
Tomahawk Hills is served by the The Maple Village Neighborhood Association, which gets together for events like a Fourth of July parade, neighborhood garage sale and an annual chili cook-off. As part of the Omaha Public School District, kids will attend Masters Elementary and Morton Magnet Middle Schools, both off 99th & Fort, while older kids will attend Northwest High School, a few minutes northeast off Blair High Rd.

Tomahawk Hills Shopping & Lifestyle
For your daily shopping, Bakers is right on 90th & Fort, and Aldi grocery store is just south along 90th. You also have Walmart Supercenter on 90th & Military, and SuperTarget on 72nd & Sorensen Pky, a popular area with shopping and fast casual restaurants like Applebees and Panda Express.
A few minutes further south of the neighborhood you’ll find the Regency area, featuring Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s for healthier food choices. Get all your shopping done at Westroads Mall, and while you’re there, grab a bite at the Cheesecake Factory, P.F. Chang’s or Joe’s Crab Shack. For the bowlers in your family, you have a couple of options as Maplewood Lanes is close to the Tomahawk Hills neighborhood.
If you want to get outside, Standing Bear Lake and Tranquility Park are just 5 minutes west on 132nd & Fort, and you’re 15 minutes from about a dozen golf courses and Cunningham Lake, so there’s something for everyone. For commuting downtown, just head a few blocks west on Fort to hop on I-680 and link up with I-80, so you’re less than 20 minutes to downtown Omaha in good traffic.
