Henry Doorly Zoo

The world-class Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha is a wonderful visit for families and animal lovers. One of the best in the country, this zoo features rainforest and desert habitats, large cats, gorillas and an aquarium. Visitors can spend an entire afternoon here and still have more to explore. The skyfari and train give visitors quick passage through the zoo and a birds-eye view. An on-site IMAX theater is a great entertaining and educational attraction on any day.

Old Market

For a real feel of Omaha, the Old Market can’t be missed. Many places can boast shopping and fine dining, but Old Market takes the experience to another level. The old world ambiance of cobblestone streets, outdoor cafe dining and one-of-a-kind shops run by local entrepreneurs brings people from diverse backgrounds together. The summer farmer’s market on Saturdays brings delicious, fresh produce straight from the farm to consumers. At any time of day there is something special for everyone here.

Zorinsky Lake and Recreation Area

No trip to Omaha would be complete without visiting some of the wonderful public parks. Zorinsky Lake and Recreation Area features a sparkling lake that is great for boating and fishing. A water park, playgrounds for kids, picnic areas, walking, hiking and biking trails and sports fields can also be found in the park. Deer and squirrels, large shade trees and the lake provide lovely views from sunrise to sunset.
