Greentree Neighborhood & School Information
Greentree is a lovely neighborhood situated among golf courses, lakes and larger parks, located at 132nd and Ames Streets. The neighborhood was developed in the 80’s but has homes built as recently as the 2000’s, so you’ll see a good variety of split entry and ranch homes and different ages, square footage, condition and price points.
The Neighborhood Association also includes Iron Ridge and Tranquility View, and focuses on community events, crime prevention and environmental protection. As part of the Omaha Public School District, kids will have options like Fullerton Magnet Elementary and Alice Buffett Middle School, both on the north end of the neighborhood. Concordia, a private junior/senior high school is just minutes northwest off 156th & Fort.

Greentree Shopping & Lifestyle
To have a little fun, residents often head to Keystone Park. With a playground for the kids and walking paths, basketball courts and baseball fields, the whole family can get in some exercise while having fun together.
For your daily shopping, Bakers, Walmart Neighborhood Market and Target are all right off 132nd & Maple, along with plenty of food options ranging from Applebees and Panera to upscale options like Salt and Hiro 88.
Start the weekend with a movie at the Marcus Majestic, or if you’re a golfer, head to Champions Run or Eagle Run, both just a couple minutes south off Maple. You also have Deer Creek, designed by legendary golfer Arnold Palmer, just 10 minutes north. If you just want to get outside, Standing Bear Lake is a couple minutes north off 132nd, and Cunningham Lake is 15 minutes north off I-680.
For your commute, your best bet is heading south on 132nd to Dodge then east to hop on I-680, putting you around 15 minutes to downtown Omaha in good traffic. With access to modern amenities and a cozy feel to the neighborhood, Greentree could be just the place if you’re looking to settle down.
