What’s the Trick to Buying & Selling a Home At the Same Time?

Need help buying and selling a home at the same time? Here are a few expert tips to help.

It can be really nerve-wracking to put your house on the market if you haven’t already identified a home you want to purchase, and especially when you’re in a seller’s market like ours. Remember: A seller’s market is defined as a market that has between three and seven months of inventory.

We recommend to any client who is thinking of putting their house on the market to go online and look at homes they would like to purchase should their current home go under contract.

The nice thing is that a typical property is in escrow for around 45 to 60 days, so if you make an offer, you can make it contingent on your ability to find your next property to buy. Our clients can rest assured that we’ll be able to find them a home; if we can’t find the house they’re looking for on the traditional market, we also have a lot of other unique strategies to help them find off-market properties.

Of course, if you’re in the financial position to be able to buy a home and get it under contract while you’re still trying to sell your current home, that’s a completely viable alternative option.

If you have any questions about juggling two transactions at once, or if you’re interested in buying and selling homes in general, don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We look forward to servicing you on your next purchase or sale!
