kwELITE takes steps to keep realtors safe

A lot of people wouldn’t put a real estate agent at the top of the list when it comes to most dangerous professions, but agents risk their safety almost every day when they show vacant properties, drive clients to listings and meet with a new client for the first time.

About 40% of all realtors have been in a situation that made them afraid for their safety while on the job, according to a report published by the National Association of Realtors.

In 2018, a realtor in Washington was attacked by three men at an open house. And in 2014, an Arkansas real estate agent was abducted and killed when showing a home to a potential client.

But rest assured, kwELITE leadership understands and prioritizes real estate agents’ safety by providing continued education on matter and providing access to tools to help significantly lower the possibility of threats.

All realtors are strongly encouraged to utilize a proactive safety and intelligence app or its website that provides instant knowledge prior to face-to-face engagements. The app analyzes billions of data points and provides realtors with the ability to mitigate risks by verifying identity and searching for criminal histories, as well as validating information provided by potential clients — using just a phone number.
