On Thursday, May 11th, kwELITE Keller Williams in Omaha and throughout the state united to demonstrate their support for local causes on RED Day. The kwELITE offices in Omaha collaborated to volunteer their time at Victory Riding Services, an organization that provides various programs tailored to individual needs, including a Veterans Adaptive Sports program that employs therapeutic riding to assist veterans.
RED Day, observed on the second Thursday of May, is an annual global day of community service organized by Keller Williams, with the aim of Renewing, Energizing, and Donating to the community.
Shala Blake, the Lead Transaction Coordinator, was one of the volunteers who participated. Blake emphasized the inspiring nature of RED Day, emphasizing that it goes beyond the local office by motivating Keller Williams agents and staff nationwide to contribute to their communities. As Blake shared, “RED Day is a significant reminder of how we can unite to support others. We have a few military veterans within our brokerage, as well as my own family, who could benefit from the services offered by Victory. The specialized therapies provided by Victory would not be possible without the assistance of the community!”
Ben Mathes, kwELITE Team Lead, echoed Blake’s sentiments and commended kwELITE for its community-focused approach. “It’s truly remarkable to help individuals in our community who thrive on volunteer work and contribute to the success of their non-profit organizations. We understand that our impact extends far beyond those we directly serve on RED Day; it reaches a multitude of people.”
